Harrogate Automation Ltd is committed to protecting your personal data and ensuring that it collects, processes and disposes of your details in accordance with all legal requirements. Who we are

This is the Privacy Notice of Harrogate Automation Ltd (Company Number 08026554).  We specialise in the installation, service, maintenance and repair of automated gates.

What is Personal Data?

Personal data includes any information relating to an individual, whether it relates to his or her private, professional or public life. Typically it relates to a client’s name, address, telephone number and similar contact details.

Why we ask for Personal Data

We will only ask for personal data which is relevant to our ability to carry out our contract with you.

How we use your information

We will only collect and process your personal data for lawful purposes as permitted by the EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) which come into force on 25 May 2018. In almost every case this will be for the preparation for and performance of our contract with you or for the compliance with legal obligations. We may seek your separate, express consent for other uses.

We do not hold the Financial Details of our Clients

We request that clients pay for goods and services by cheque or bank transfer.  As such we do not request or store sensitive financial details.

Our Data Protection Commitment to You

  • We will only obtain personal data for a specific and/or lawful purpose.
  • We will ensure, to the best of our ability, that the personal data that we hold is accurate and up to date.
  • We will only hold your personal data for as long as we have a lawful purpose to do so.
  • Your personal data will be kept secure to prevent unauthorised processing and accidental loss, damage or destruction.

Your Personal Data and Third Parties

We will never sell your personal data to a third party.  We will only pass your data to a third party supplier where it is absolutely necessary for the performance of your contract. It is very rare that we would need to do so and it is likely that you would be made aware of this exchange in advance.

Your Rights

As an individual you are entitled, by law, to request:

  • a copy of what personal data the company holds about you;
  • that any inaccuracies in the data held be corrected; and
  • that your personal data held by the company is deleted (so far as Harrogate Automation is not under an overriding legal obligation to retain it).

We will endeavour to verify, update or amend your personal data within 1 month from your request.
